Film To Live

I used the film To Live last year near the end of our unit on Mao's China (11th grade). It worked very well as it put Mao's China (one vision of it anyway) in narrative form as it focuses on a particular family. Very accessible. Likewise, it was useful to talk about angles, short, setting, and narrative structure/arc.

  1. Even better, in my opinion, is the novel To Live. Good movie to show students, though!
