I stumbled on the following...
The Devnarayan style of Phad paintings (the 30- footers) include depictions of the
Folk deity, Devnarayan, with blue skin. It is proposed by some that he is an incarnation of The Lord Vishnu. Interesting suggestion though there are other explanation possibilities.
Here is an image, so you can see what I am talking about....even looks like Lord Rama and family...
