Genghis Blues

"This Oscar nominated film follows the story of a blind blues musician, Paul Pena, and his triumphant trek to the foreign land of Tuva and the mysterious art of khöömei or throat-singing, a seemingly impossible form of singing that produces multiple vocal tones simultaneously".  He discovered Mongolian throat singing accidentally via a ham radio and became obsessed to go to Mongolia, learn the techniques and play with their musicians. A pretty cool movie.
