  1. I thought my earlier posting went through. Apparently it didn't.

    There are two books that you might want to read if you find the documentary (The Last Train Home) is fascinating.

    1. Factory Girls: From Village to City in a Changing China, by Leslie T. Chang.

    2. Oracle Bones, by Peter Hessler. (Hessler has written quite a few books about China as a correspondent and is someone who knows China inside out.)
